Required Materials and Equipment

  • A few golf balls and a wedge!

Drill Overview

In this drill, you will hit chip shots with your strong hand (right hand for right-handed golfers) only. This will help you learn to chip with your entire body and feel the role of the strong hand in the short game.

Drill Instructions

  1. Grab a few golf balls and a wedge. Anything from 46-60 degrees of loft will do.
  2. Find a short chip shot, no more than 10 yards
  3. Hit right-hand-only chip shots focusing on turning the body and good rhythm through the strike.
