Who is this drill best for?

  • Golfers who hit a slice and fail to hit "from the inside"
  • Golfers who struggle to hit the ball far enough

Required Materials and Equipment

  • A short iron
  • Some range balls and a place to hit

Drill Overview

This drill forces you to hit from the inside and properly shift your weight. It is one of my all-time favorites!

Drill Instructions

  1. Grab a short iron and set up to the shot normally
  2. Drop your trail foot a few inches backward
  3. Re-adjust until you are comfortable and practice making rhythmic golf swings
